About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience working with children and families facing a wide range of challenges.

I was born in Chicago and grew up in St. Louis.  I attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, earning my undergraduate degree in Psychology and completed my Masters in Social Work at St. Louis University with a specialization in Clinical Practice with Families.  I began my career in Social Work as an In-home Aid for adolescent boys on the Autism Spectrum who displayed oppositional and sometimes aggressive behaviors.  In 2013 I began working in a Residential Treatment Facility for children, providing care management services before becoming fully licensed to practice therapy in 2016.  Since earning my LCSW I have provided both Individual and Family Therapy Services for children struggling with a wide variety of mental health and behavioral issues and their families, often dealing with the Foster and Adoptive systems in St. Louis.

Outside of work time, I am an avid sports fan, enjoy traveling, camping, hiking and the outdoors and spending time with my friends and family, including my wife, our newborn son Thomas and our two dogs Seamus and Galway!  When it comes to the self-care and coping skills I recommend in therapy, I always try to"practice what I preach" in my own life including practicing mindfulness, meditation, exercise and spending time in nature whenever possible.
